HEALTH AND SAFETY

Travel For More Trips have been carefully planned and organized to ensure the safety and health of our travelers. Travelers will always have plenty of clean drinking water, and safe, fully cooked food.

Leaders for each trip are exceptional young adults that have gone through a careful screening and selection process. They are CPR/First Aid certified and very familiar with the area and are fluent in Thai.

When travelers return home from their expeditions, we encourage them to give immediate attention to any health concerns and report any illnesses to Travel For More that might be linked to their trip so we can make any necessary changes to future trips.

Some of the ways travelers can prevent illness during expeditions are:

  • Washing hands frequently with soap and water
  • Using insect repellent each day
  • Wearing sunscreen/sunblock each day
  • Drinking only bottled water
  • Not touching, handling, or petting animals
VACCINATIONS

Travel For More recommends travelers are current on routine vaccinations and research additional vaccination and health information to decide which if any, travel vaccines they should get. For the most accurate advice about vaccinations, speak with your physician or travel health clinic.

Travelers should schedule an appointment to receive any vaccinations at least 4-6 weeks prior to travel. The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that all travelers "should be up to date on routine vaccinations while traveling to any destination." Those include:

  • Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)
  • Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (DTP)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Polio
  • Influenza
CAN I BOOK MY OWN AIRFARE?

We would rather you didn't. We have the group of 12 teens with two chaperones traveling from Los Angeles to Chiang Mai together. The schedule is built around their arrival and departure. We don't have to manpower to work out individual schedules of arrival & departure and do not want teens traveling alone. If you have a special circumstance (ie. work for an airline) please contact hi@wetravelformore.com to discuss.
